Jelly Melt and Pour Soap Base
This has to be the most fun soap base around. I mean, who doesn't love jelly! Simply melt it and pour it, and you will have your own jelly soaps in no time at all.
Jelly soap base is clear in colour with a neutral scent, and has a fantastically realistic jelly appearance. It lends itself to all manner of creations and is suitable for layering and embedding in other types of melt and pour soap base.
Jelly melt and pour soap bases are a unique form of soap. The soap base has good foaming properties and adds a natural jelly-like wobble to the soap, making it enjoyable for children.
However, use with caution around very young children to avoid any ingestion of the soap.
Because of the transparency of the jelly soap base, you get great colour clarity when using bright colours.
Melt and pour soap bases are also very easy and efficient to use. They can be made quickly and will be ready for use once they are set in the moulds.

How to use it
Melt and pour soap bases are very easy to use. Simply cut the soap base into small cubes, and melt it using either a microwave or a double boiler. Make sure to melt the soap base slowly, to stop it from boiling.
Once the soap base is melted, add any desired fragrances or colourings before pouring into a mould. To avoid bubbles, stir the soap base as little as possible. The melt and pour soap base can take about 6 hours to fully harden.
Once they are set, make sure to wrap the soaps in clingfilm to help stop the soap from sweating and losing water
Jelly melt and pour soap bases should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Use silica gel to help absorb moisture from the air, this will help fend off any moisture that is attracted to your soap.

Yes, if you want to add a fragrance to your soap base you can use essential oils, fragrance oils or blends.

How do I add colour to my jelly soap?
We recommend using mica powders in your recipe. Usually around 25-50g mica powder per 1kg of soap is enough
