What are calendula petals used for?

Calendula petals, also known as common marigold petals, are bright orange and yellow in colour. The marigold flowers petals have a sweet, floral and citrusy aroma.

The calendula flowers from the calendula officinalis plant, are dried so the petals last longer and retain their properties.

The marigold petals can be infused into a carrier oil for use in cosmetic products. The infusion is added to formulations to add the natural properties of the calendula flowers.

Marigold petals are used in products like soaps, pot pourri, lotion bars and bath bombs. They can be added as decoration and to provide a floral scent.
