Tamanu Oil – Organic, Cold Pressed
Tamanu oil a precious, exotic oil that is extracted from the fruit of the tamanu tree, and is a brown to yellow coloured viscous oil with a strong smoky scent.
The tamanu tree is native to most tropical regions in the world, and one tree can only produce 5kg of oil per year, making organic cold pressed tamanu oil hard to come by!
Despite being quite thick, tamanu oil absorbs into the skin easily. We tend to recommend it to those creating skin treatments for extra sensitive skin, or for skin treatments to try and reduce scarring. And like all our organic oils, it is certified organic by the Soil Association.
