Lime essential oil is a light yellow/green coloured oil that is distilled from the whole lime while it is still fresh, this is preferable to cold pressed lime oil as it reduces the phototoxic affects. It has a characteristic clear citrus scent that is both refreshing and relaxing.
Lime essential oil is a fantastic natural ingredient but needs to be used with a little caution. Essential oils can sensitise skin and shouldn't be applied to the skin directly or consumed. Please consult a doctor before use if pregnant and always keep out of reach of children.
