Cosmetic Mica Powders

What is Mica Powder?

Mica is a natural stone material containing shiny and small flakes which are then ground down to form mica powder. The powder looks like a fine glitter and comes in a wide range of colours.

Uses of Mica Powder

Mica powder is used to add shimmer and colour to translucent polymer clay, cosmetics, candles, soap, and epoxy resin.

Our cosmetic mica powders are suitable for soap making, bath bombs, eye shadow and more!. Superb glitter and matte colours available, make your creations come alive! All are lip safe, apart from any green colours.

How To Use Mica Pigment Powders

As a versatile substance, mica powder can be used in a number of ways. It can be fully mixed with epoxy resin, swirled in small amounts to create a galaxy effect or flicked onto a design to create that speckled finish.

To make epoxy resin and mica powder into a combined mixture, mix the resin and mica together. Next, take a mixing stick and gently stir to form the iridescent shimmer

Just small amounts provide good dispersion and cover and give you light-reflecting microparticles that create luminous effects.
