Our castile (or castille) soap base is made from organic oils and is a natural translucent pale yellow colour. You can thicken it easily by adding salt if you’re looking for a slightly thicker soap base.

How to Use Castile Liquid Soap Base
Castile liquid soap base is very easy to use. Simply pour the soap base into a mixing bowl or jug. Measure your desired essential oils, making sure to keep it at a maximum level of 0.5%. Mix the ingredients until fully combined.
If you wish to make the soap base slightly thicker, you can add a few drops of salt solution and continue to mix to check the thickness. Once the mixture is fully combined, pour the finished soap base into the bottle.

Storage
To store your castile soap bases, make sure to keep it sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Castile liquid soap will normally last around 12 months when stored correctly.
