What is a lotion base?
Our lotion base is a high quality lotion that has a light texture and leaves the skin feeling silky. The base is enriched with emollients and contains natural sunflower seed oil. It is also 100% vegan friendly, cruelty free.
It has a light velvety texture that is suitable for all skin types and it absorbs well into the skin. The lotion base is suitable for all packaging including bottles and pump dispensers.
What is a lotion base used for?
Our lotion base is ready to use as it is pre-thickened and a fully formulated base. You can add your own essential oils or fragrance oils to create a unique lotion with your own scent.
How to use our lotion base

Lotion bases are very easy to use. Simply open the packaging and weigh out your desired amount of lotion base.

Heat the lotion base gently to about 38 – 40°C.

Once the base has reached this temperature, add the essential oils or fragrance oil of your choice. We recommend adding no more 0.5% of the oils to the lotion base.

Gently mix together for about 15 to 30 mins, ensuring that any fragrances you have added are evenly distributed throughout the product and the consistency is smooth.

Once fully combined, pour the mixture into your chosen bottles or tubs.
