The Importance of Sustainability in The Amazon Rainforest

Without sustainability in the Amazon: we lose a huge percentage of the world's wildlife, we lose one of the biggest carbon sinks and we lose potential medical advances!

The Amazon Rainforest is one of the most biodiverse places in the world. It contains at least 40,000 plant species, and hundreds of thousands of animals and insects. Not only that, but it is also home to around 400 indigenous tribes.

A variety of its plant species have been found to have medicinal benefits, so who knows what other untapped resources the rainforest has to offer.

It is also one of the world's largest carbon sinks, so imagine how much carbon is released back into the atmosphere during deforestation!

How Sustainable & Ethical Are Our Amazon Butters?

Today, the importance of sustainability and environmental conservation has never been more crucial.

Unsustainable timber exploitation is ruining the Amazon Rainforest. They use destructive slash-and-burn activities for low-value cash cropping and cattle farming.

But the reality is, job opportunities for the local people are sparse and these big companies provides a lot of jobs. That's why so many people end up involved with the timber industry.

So how do our sustainable Amazon butters help?

Using non timber forest products like seeds, resins, and herbs is a crucial component of sustainable forest management.

Harvesting seeds from the trees shows the locals there are other profitable opportunities. This will encourage the protection of the trees, as chopping them down will destroy a valuable source of income.

By supporting the sustainable production of Amazon butters, we are also helping to preserve the biodiversity of the rainforest.

These butters are not only high-quality products, but also represent a commitment to a more sustainable future for our planet.

How Are Our Suppliers Making a Difference?

Our suppliers are making a difference to the way local communities are using the Amazon Rainforest. They are showing the local people that harvesting seeds from the trees can be economically beneficial. The rainforest is profitable, but not just in the timber industry!

The timber industry is run by big companies with bad reputations that don’t care about the impact they have on the environment. They’re greedy and have no respect for the Amazon Rainforest!

Our supplier is a small company that strives to protect the Amazon rainforest, while still offering opportunities to the local people.

They visit the local communities and find out exactly where the products come from. They exclusively source the butters from communities that uphold their strict principles and ensure the highest ethical standards.

The only way to ensure the long term health of the rainforest is by everyone being on board with sustainability.

Our suppliers are proactively providing new opportunities and financial stability for local communities.
