What is Black Cumin Seed Oil?

Black cumin seed oil is produced from the seeds of the Nigella Sativa plant. Found in Tutankhamun's tomb back in 3300BC, the oil is popularly referred to as “Gold of the Pharaohs.” Black seed oil is extracted by cold pressing Nigella Sativa seeds below 35C to preserve its natural qualities.

The black cumin seed oil is red to brown in colour, with a thin consistency, and has a scent similar to seeds. Our black seed oil is 100% pure and is certified organic by the Soil Association. We are audited once a year to make sure that we comply with their strict standards.

What is Black Seed Oil Used For?

Black cumin seed oil is said to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. However, there is not enough evidence to support this.

Black cumin seed oil has a comedogenic rating of 2 and is beneficial for those with dry and sensitive skin types. It is also great for those with acne prone and oily skin types, however it may clog pores.

Black seed oil can be used in skincare and haircare products like creams, moisturisers, body oils, soaps, hair serums and face masks.
