What is moringa oil?

Moringa seed oil is the oil pressed from the seeds of the Moringa tree and our Moringa oil is produced from organic Moringa trees which have been grown without the use of chemical pesticides. The carrier oil is unrefined and cold pressed which preserves the natural state of the oil.

The oil is yellow in colour and solidifies easily, it has a medium scent that we would describe as oily, buttery with mild earthy tones.

Our organic moringa seed oil is certified organic by the Soil Association. We are inspected annually to make sure we comply with their strict regulations.

Moringa oil for skin

Moringa oil has a comedogenic rating of 3 to 4, so it will clog pores if used on the face. It is a highly moisturising oil and forms a protective barrier over the skin. It is great for dry skin types, combination skin and mature skin.

Moringa seed oil is often used in skincare products for moisturisers, creams and skin treatments.

Make your own skin treatment with moringa oil

Ingredients

• Organic shea butter 100g
• Moringa oil 50ml
• Jojoba oil 50ml

Method

1. Melt the shea butter in a microwave or in a bowl over hot water.
2. Mix the jojoba oil and moringa oil into the melted shea.
3. Once the mixture is fully combined, place in the fridge to cool.
4. When the mixture looks like it is starting to set, use a whisk to mix it.
5. It should form a light creamy consistency, similar to whipped cream.
6. Now your skin treatment is ready to use!

Moringa seed oil is very moisturising and is great for improving overall hair health and leaving hair feeling soft. It can be used in hair products like shampoo, conditioners, hair treatment and hair masks.

How to make your own hair treatment with moringa oil

Ingredients

• Castor oil 100ml
• Moringa oil 100ml
• Hemp oil - cold pressed 10ml
• Neem oil - cold pressed 10ml

Method

1. Weigh your castor oil, moringa oil, hemp and neem oil in a bowl.
2. Mix the oils together until fully combined.
3. Now pour the mixture into a bottle and apply to your hair!
