Origin and History
Grapefruit was first discovered in 1750 and is native to Barbados. In the 19th century, it was commercially produced in several parts of the world. This includes the US, Mexico, Israel, Morocco, and Cyrpus.
Traditionally, organic grapefruit was used in medicines around the world. It was also commonly used as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
Today, organic grapefruit essential oil is widely used as a fragrance in a range of cosmetics. Including, in a diffuser, soaps, skincare products and aromatherapy.
Blending Suggestions
Organic grapefruit essential oil has fresh sweet citrus aroma and is used as a top note. It blends well with essential oils like lemon, sweet orange, geranium, ginger and frankincense.

3 drops Organic Grapefruit oil
3 drops Bergamot oil
2 drops Lemon oil
Sweet, citrus and floral blend:
3 drops Organic Grapefruit oil

How to Store Your Oils
Make sure to keep your pink grapefruit essential oil sealed and out of direct sunlight. This will stop oils from degrading over time and help prolong the quality. Make sure you keep the oil out of the reach of children.
Safety Precautions
Grapefruit essential oil is for external use only. Make sure to keep out of reach of children as this is not a food grade product. Avoid contact with the skin directly as this essential oil is 100% pure and very concentrated.
Like all essential oils, we suggest doing a small patch test with the oil. This is to make sure there are no sensitive areas on the skin and to avoid an allergic reaction. Organic grapefruit oil needs to be blended with a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
We recommend a maximum dilution of 4% of organic grapefruit essential oil for skin. This is based on the current IFRA standards.

What is organic grapefruit essential oil?
Grapefruit essential oil is from an evergreen citrus plant. The essential oil is orange in colour with a sharp, fresh and citrusy scent. Pink grapefruit essential oil is extracted from the peel of pink grapefruits by cold expression.
Organic pink grapefruit essential oil is certified organic by the soil association. We are inspected annually to make sure we comply with their strict regulations.
Is pink grapefruit essential oil good for acne?
It's said to have cleansing effects for oily and acne prone skin. There are many claims that grapefruit oil has antioxidant and antibacterial benefits. This could help reduce acne and blemishes.
We have only found studies to support the benefits of the fruit or extracts. There are not yet any studies proving this for grapefruit essential oil.
