What is RSPO Palm Oil?
Our palm oil is certified as sustainable by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), so you can be sure that it comes with a minimal environmental impact. Non-certified palm oils are heavily involved in the deforestation of the rainforest, make the change today!
As a solid oil, our certified sustainable palm oil is solid at room temperature and melts at about 30°C and when applied to the skin. This makes palm kernel oil a simple product to formulate with.
Also, due to its refined state, organic palm oil can withstand high temperatures, making it stable. Plus, it is odourless and can be flavoured as seen fit.
How it’s made
Palm oil is pressed from the fruit of the oil palms. It is a soft, solid creamy oil with a pale yellow colour and a neutral scent.
How to Use Organic Palm Oil
Palm oil is often used in soap making, body creams, beauty products, hair treatments and lip balms. Store it sealed at room temperature and it will retain its freshness.
In soap making, organic palm oil easily saponizes and its high palmitic acid content adds hardness to bars of soap and longevity to the lather. Also, it is used in skincare for skin conditioning and as an emollient.
Organic palm is also rich in Vitamins A and E, making it a major part of commercial skincare products. Plus, it is great at removing dirt and oil from the skin and hair, which is why it is often blended with coconut and olive oils to make soap.
Additionally, organic palm oil helps damaged and dry skin and can be used as a hair conditioning agent.
