Candles are a must have for a cosy home and candle making is much easier than you think!

Our beginner friendly recipe is really simple and only uses 2 ingredients! We are using natural candle wax and natural essential oils for this recipe.

Not only is it easy for anyone to make candles, it is also really therapeutic and rewarding. So get ready to fill your home with homemade candles!

Why Make Homemade Candles?

High quality store bought candles can be very expensive and may be made with synthetic paraffin wax. Making your own candle is not only more affordable but it uses soy wax flakes which is a more natural and environmentally friendly option.

But most importantly, it’s a fun activity to do at home! Whether you want to make your own candles or make them as gifts, it is a fun way to get creative!

Let’s have a go at our simple homemade candle recipe…

Simple Container Candle Recipe

Our simple recipe uses just 2 ingredients: natural soy wax and essential oil. This soy candle is a scented candle using lavender essential oil. Like most essential oils, lavender does not have a strong scent when burning the candle compared to fragrance oils. It will give off a beautiful aroma, but it may not fill your room with lavender.
