What is organic argan oil?

Organic argan oil is the oil (argania spinosa kernel oil) extracted from the kernels of the argan tree in Morocco. Our pure argan oil is golden in colour with a neutral scent.

Our pure argan oil is for cosmetics, so the argan kernels have been left untoasted to leave all the nutrients intact and the oil itself is undiluted and pure.

Organic argan oil is naturally rich in vitamin E it is also rich in essential fatty acids like oleic acid and linoleic acid.

Our organic argan oil is certified organic by the Soil Association. We are inspected annually to make sure we comply with their strict regulations.

What is pure argan oil used for?

Due to the high essential fatty acid content in pure argan oil, it has amazing hydrating and nourishing properties.

Pure argan oil is deeply moisturising and can help promote healthy-looking skin, as well as protect, strengthen and nourish nails.

Pure argan oil has a comedogenic rating of 0 meaning it will not clog pores. It is perfect for all skin types including oily skin, dry skin and acne prone skin.

When pure argan oil is used in cold process soap making it adds to the conditioning effect of the bar, and a little to the hardness and creaminess of the bar.

It can also be used in hair care for its nourishing properties. Argan oil is very lightweight so it is great for frizzy hair, damaged hair, oily hair, dry hair and thin hair types.

Make your own skin treatment with pure argan oil

Ingredients

• Organic shea butter 100g
• Argan oil 50ml
• Jojoba oil 50ml

Method

1. Melt the shea butter in a microwave, or in a bowl over boiling water
2. Mix the organic argan oil and jojoba oil to the melted shea butter.
3. Once fully combined, remove from the heat and place in the fridge to cool
4. Once the mixture is looking like it is starting to set, whisk until it reaches a light, creamy consistency
5. Put the mixture into a jar or pot of your choice. Now your pure argan oil skin treatment is ready to use!
